Established in 1929, Denver Harbor is a neighborhood located in Houston, TX. It is bounded by industrial land and waterways, which many of the residents’ work in. This identity was influenced by Denver Harbor’s surroundings and the connections its residents have with them and within themselves. The main goal was to develop this identity after the tagline, “Preserving Culture. Building Connections.” was created, which speaks about the history, diverse culture and the connections this community brings to its residents. The identity introduces a brand that includes, signage, placemaking art and collateral to the neighborhood.

After researching the neighborhood online, a walk through Montrose helped find the right tone of illustration for it. Drawn during my walk, in a fast and rigid manner to showcase its hectic nightlife and the constant change as gentrification comes into Montrose.
